Jennifer Chavez, CRP, LMHC
For the past 20 years, Jennifer Chavez, CRP, LMHC, has worked in the field of social services in a variety of capacities. She comes to Resilience Integrative with a unique history in the field of Mental Health as well as being a Holistic Practitioner, receiving Certifications in Hypnotherapy, Reiki, and Foot Detox.
Jennifer has worked in the public sector as a Mental Health Counselor, School Counselor, Program Manager, Pupil Advocacy Liaison, Public School Teacher, Religious Program Director, Grant Review Chair and Reviewer for the Federal Youth Services Bureau and Department of Education in Washington D.C. Jennifer has written grants, developed and delivered youth programs for the NM Coalition Against Domestic Violence and other domestic violence programs in New Mexico. In addition, Jennifer has produced a character education PowerPoint and presentation that is available through the National Institute for Youth Development in Washington D.C. Jennifer has completed graduate work in school and professional counseling. She has a strong interest in working with disadvantaged youth and helping them overcome trauma and negative experiences so as to improve the quality of their lives.
Specialties Include: Federal grant writing and reviewing; writing research, editing and preparation; special education/autism specific and strategies for working with youth that have mental illness and other developmental delays; substance abuse, domestic violence, overcoming addiction, panic attacks, depression, anxiety and dealing with everyday stress.
